Lupus Nephritis Market Research
What is Lupus Nephritis?
Lupus nephritis (LN) is an autoimmune disease caused by systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), more commonly referred to as lupus. LN occurs when the immune system attacks the kidneys. Approximately half of patients who have SLE develop renal issues, often leading to lupus nephritis.
There are currently two drugs available to treat lupus nephritis: Benlysta and Lupkynis.
Nephrologists and Rheumatologists use these FDA-approved therapies alongside diet changes and other pharmacologic therapies to help reduce kidney damage and control inflammation in patients with LN.
