While the market for hemophilia gene therapy has shrunk in 2026, desire for the treatment remains high. That’s according to a new study from Spherix Global Insights.
In a press release issued August 16, the Pennsylvania-based company said their recent survey of European Hematologists showed roughly 90 % of the doctors surveyed expect gene therapies are the future of hemophilia care.
Despite cancellation of Beqvez and Roctavian in the past 18 months, along with supply issues with Hemgenix earlier this year, doctors surveyed say they are still encouraged by the potential for new therapies.
A U.S.-based version of the study is expected by the end of the year.
